Pex Fittings
PEX Fittings in RVs
PEX tubing is widely used in RV plumbing thanks to its durability, flexibility, and ease of installation. But PEX tubing itself isn’t enough – you’ll need PEX fittings to connect the tubing, create branches, and connect to faucets and other plumbing components. Here’s a rundown of PEX fittings commonly used in RVs:
- Crimp Fittings (with ½ inch crimp rings being the standard size for RVs):
- Most common type for RV PEX plumbing.
- Consist of a metal ring that crimps around the PEX tubing and a fitting body with a barb that inserts into the tubing.
- Requires a specialized crimp tool to create a secure, leak-proof connection. pen_spark
