Tank Sensors Pigtail

Imagine your RV’s fresh, gray, and black water tanks as rooms, and the tank sensors as gauges that tell you how full each room is. But these gauges can’t talk directly to the display panel that shows you the levels. That’s where the tank sensor pigtails come in – they act as messengers.
Here's how it works:
- The tank sensor (gauge) inside the tank detects the water level.
- The tank sensor pigtail, a short wire with specialized connectors on each end, acts like a messenger cable.
- One end of the pigtail connects to the tank sensor, receiving the information about the water level.
- The other end of the pigtail connects to the RV’s wiring harness, which is like a central communication system.
- Through the wiring harness, the pigtail sends the water level information from the sensor to the display panel.
- Finally, the display panel shows you the fill level of each tank, typically as a percentage or gauge reading.
